Win A Million Dollars | Proven Ways To Win A Million Before You Die
Ever since I was a young boy I’ve been fascinated with money and the prospect of winning or (if I have to) making a million dollars has kept me awake into the wee small hours, wondering, wishing and deliberating about the possibility of untold riches.
It all goes back to my father (who I’ll tell you about shortly) and I blame him for giving me the idea that it was not only possible but probable to win a million dollars before you die.
As children, my brother and I were exposed to the world of gambling at a young age. My father played the football pools (betting on soccer games) and spent weekends watching horse racing on our small, black and white television and every Summer he would head outdoors to stake money on anything he could
find that looked like a good bet; sticks floating down a river, cats fighting in the street and women arguing in their back yards. If there were two possible outcomes, my father would put money on one and hope for the best
My father died a poor man but his life was mainly a happy one. He spent his days working as a Prison Guard and his evenings entertaining the locals at his favourite Public Drinking House “The North Star“.
When I was twelve years old I had a great lesson taught to me…
The Grand National horse race was about to run and as was always the case, my father asked my brother and me to pick a horse each from the list of names he had cut from the news paper; placing them in a neat horizontal line on the dining room table as though they were about to start the race.
My brother picked first and chose the one my father had said was favourite to win and then it was my turn. I took my time…
“Ben Nevis” I said, finally picking up the paper from the table. “I’ll have this one dad. Ben Nevis”
My father shook his head “He’s an old timer, son. Hasn’t a chance. He was past it three years ago. Pick another one”
So, believing everything my father said, I chose again. I don’t remember the horse I chose next.
That day Ben Nevis won the race at 40 to 1.
I never made a bet again.

Today I want to talk about luck and what part it plays in making you rich. After all, that’s why you’re here, right?
You want to know if it’s really possible to win a million dollars?
In short; it is.
Money that comes to you easily might make you rich but won’t keep you wealthy.
We’ve all heard stories of people who win the lottery or are thrown a lucky ticket at the races and end up living life in the fast lane for a few years only to find themselves back at square one again in three, four or five years time.
The truth is, it may well be possible to win your way out of the poverty trap but it is unlikely that you will find a permanent solutions to your worries based on good fortune alone. This may hurt but if you believe your only way out of debt and into prosperity is via the local betting shop you are destined to remain poor.
Wake up. Take control. Do what has to be done to change your situation.
The good news is that with the right approach anyone can become wealthy and can, in fact, accumulate and amass a small (and sometimes large) fortune which others will look upon with envy and put down to good luck and fortunate timing.
So, if you want to be in the right place at the right time, here are three proven ways for you to “win” a million dollars before you die:
- Develop your knowledge – without knowledge you have nothing but with it you can command any price you chose. Develop a knowledge and awareness of the world around you and learn to listen to people in order to understand what they need; what solutions they are searching for. Once you know what people want it becomes simple to meet their needs.
- Develop your focus – take a look around either online or through the media and you will see that those who have found success have remained focused and stuck to the task. With so many so-called opportunities out there to entice you away from your chosen path, it is getting more and more difficult to see something through but if you get distracted you will never find financial freedom. Money is made over a period of time and those who understand this realise the importance of planning for success and acting out that plan over time. If you know that you have a good business or idea then stick with it, develop it and learn how to grow what you have today into an empire tomorrow.
- Develop your soul – it may be easier to make money without a conscience but it will be harder to build long term wealth this way. I’ve watched and worked with all kinds of people over the years, both online and off and have seen some make small fortunes in months, while others have taken decades to drive debt from their door. One thing I’ve realised from what I’ve learned is that the longer the journey the stronger the soul who walks out the other side. If money matters are keeping you awake at night use that time to look deep inside, listen to that small voice who knows you better than anyone and respect what he or she has to tell you.
There is more to life than making money. To be truly rich is to know yourself, to love those around you and to leave more on the table than you take.
