Time Management Tools

One of the main resources you have when building your business part time is YOUR time. This could be 5, 10 or 15 hours a week or more and every minute within those hours is critical to your teams growth and development. Here’s a couple of time management tools that will help you to stay focused on the job in hand.

  1. Google Calendar – Plan calls and team follow ups and stay organised.

Lead Management Tools

The days of carrying scraps of paper in your pocket should be left to one side if you are planning to build a serious business. Treat your business like a business and it will repay you as one and investing in lead management tools should be a priority for you. Here are a couple of my favourites.

  1. Aweber – if you are handling leads online and working towards building a list of prospects, you need to manage these contacts efficiently and effectively. Aweber allows you to see exactly what your prospects are doing, are they reading your emails and clicking on your links or just letting your stuff sail down the river into their forgotten file?
  2. Phone Burner – if you are making a lot of calls to a lot of leads you need to be able to manage your follow ups the right way. This tool allows you to manage all your leads, record a voice message to leave for prospects and automatically send out an email after speaking with someone on the phone.

 

Business Presentation Tools

If you are not making presentations, you are NOT building your business..!

Some marketing systems will have a business presentation built into the set up or will allow you to invite people onto a webinar by email. My advice is to find and master one or two tools that allow you to personally present your business opportunity and to find a company that has a few simple presentation tools to help you get started. This allows you to build your team when you first begin by using the tools provided (and means anyone can duplicate this too) and also means you can begin to put your stamp on things as you start to grow as a leader. Networkers love to hear stories about the industry and will revisit a good website with up to date network marketing news. One great example of this is Ted Nuyten’s website which you can see here.

There are other sites that offer insights into the industry but don’t get dragged into a hole believing you have to try to compete with the big guns in order to be a successful website owner. Find a few valuable pieces of news from your own company to begin with and share them with your readers in a way that is informative and educational. Do this regularly and you will soon begin to get some great traffic keen to review your network marketing news.

 

Network Marketing Resources

Resources can be offered to your readers in the form of free videos, eBooks or if you don’t yet have the skills needed to put these together; a few simple articles that will help your readers to answer the question: what is network marketing?

Other resources that are very useful to your readers are links to websites (ike the one in this article) which help your readers to know more about the industry, develop their skills and ultimately increase and grow their business. Offering quality resources such as this with no personal gain in mind will help to build a good relationship with your readers and show you as a leader who is here to help.

 

Network Marketing Training

Ongoing training and personal development is fundamental to the success of any network marketer. If you’re not yet at the point where you can provide one on one coaching or group trainings, either face to face or via online webinars, offer your readers what you can and refer them to a quality trainer who can show them what they need to do to get the results they are looking for from their network marketing business. Thisis not always as easy to do as it might seem with a growing number of network marketing trainers appearing online. My advice is to keep it simple and go with a proven formula. Find a training program or trainer who has already had the results you are looking for and your readers will value the referral from you. If there’s an affiliate commission built into the referral, even better! but don’t make this the only reason to recommend or your readers will see straight through it and will never come back to your network marketing website!
